The Marketing team is accountable for developing sound marketing strategies to support growth objectives and distinguish Manulife as the premier service provider in the Group Benefits and Group Retirement industry.
Within Marketing, we are creating and driving a customer-centric, digital-first, strategic marketing team – enabling Manulife to be the provider our customers from coast to coast trust with their group retirement programs. An integral part of the Sales Marketing team, the Group Retirement Proposal Content Manager is responsible for overseeing the English and French proposal content for all corporate requests for proposals (RFPs).
As the Group Retirement Proposal Content Manager, your mandate is to:
Develop and manage best-in-class approach to RFP content to win and retain group retirement clients, leveraging strategies that support our client focus, brand, value proposition, market source relationships, market differentiation, and business objectives
Collaborate with Group Benefits Content Manager to provide coaching, best practices, and guidance to proposal consultants, marketing teams, and other peers
Liaise with marketing, operations, and other subject matter experts to ensure proposal content reflects our most recent enhancements and stories
Demonstrate innovation and creativity with a digital-first mindset in the development of proposal content and supporting collateral
Manage content library/repository (using an RFP response software) and maintain ongoing relationship with vendor
Key accountabilities:
Proactively develops and manages key content and collateral (e.g. cover letters and executive summaries) to ensure that proposals are delivered on time with high-quality messaging to win/retain the business
Consults regularly with marketing partners on key initiatives/new enhancements to ensure timely delivery and development of content
Works with the proposal consultants to ensure the content management database is maintained and updated regularly
Collaborates with multiple stakeholders, including marketing, sales, account management, underwriting, design, and communication resources to create high-quality proposal content that will optimize the opportunity to win/retain the business
Identifies opportunities to enhance proposal content for Group Retirement
Monitors the presale process and quality of output – continually recommends efficiencies to drive success
Advises proposal consultants and sales teams on effective pursuit and messaging strategies
Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with products/services that are increasingly complex and constantly evolving

Job requirements:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing-related field
5-7 years of relevant experience in proposal or content management
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry considered beneficial
Bilingualism (English and French) is required
